I have recently added a piece of infrastructure in Vyopta, and Im not able to see the results of the adding the device. Is there something wrong?
One of the common things that our new customers run into is setting up a device for monitoring, and the monitoring is not enabled on the device. In the below screenshot, you will see two devices (ISDN Gateway and Acano Lab) that have not been enabled. If they are not enabled, the Data Collector will not collect data for processing in Realtime and Advanced Analytics
An easy way to enable collection, is logging into https://apps.vyopta.com and select vAnalytics | Infrastructure where you can verify collection is available.
If we wanted to enable the Acano Lab as shown below, just click on the button, which will open the following window
At this point, you can click on the Save button show by the arrow, which will enable data collection from the device.
Just a reminder, if you start collecting data for a device, it may take up to 48 hours before data starts to show up in Advanced Analytics, since we only process historical data once a day during the overnight hours for your organization.
